Hi,
Since I'm doing a full resto, yes. Why? Because the door tag was stil on the car and it sayd silver smoke grey, so sticking to originality, the car will be silver smoke grey, with red interior.

A two tone burnout orange with white would look nice, especially if the car is highly modified :-)

I'm trying to figure out what to paint mine. I have an '86 SVO but HATE the orangeish red that Ford put on it. I'm leaning towords a stronger red for it. I also have a '64 Merc Comet I want to do a 3 color job on but I need to find someone who know's something about prep and painting fiberglass.

1 1/2 gallons of stock Bright White DuPont Fulthane and 4 hours in a full suit in 95F weather. We'll do the Mustang the same way probably this fall. Pretty easy to lay down and easy to fix later.

I painted a VW Sonic blue and in the booth I thought it was a solid color until I took it outside in the sun. It looks great with the blue flake. It looked purple until the clear was sprayed.

That sounds like a great paint job! We painted our '65 coupe Atlantic Blue, which is from '67. Looks great with a white upholstery and a light blue dash.

I have also heard about getting the body dipped? What is that exactly?

Dipping the body entails taking the metal body and dipping it in a large bath of chemicals. Those checmicals remove the paint, and most everything else on the metal. After a few minutes, 15 to 20 I believe, the body is then moved to another tank with a neutralizing chemical. After that, you're left with nothing but metal and maybe rust holes.

I have a 67 coupe that I have been working on for 3 years. I'm just about done with the interior (complete stock) and would like to move to the paint. I have no experience with painting so I have decided to get it done professionally. Anyone know of a qualified place in the Los Angeles, cA area?
