Today, I did something I never thought I would do.  I discouraged someone from buying a Ford product.  Due to Ford's policy of forcing business owners and car clubs to pay royalties to use the Name "Mustang", I will no longer be a Ford customer.  Today, I wrote my local Ford dealer to ask them to remove my name from mailings.  I encourage all Ford owners to do the same, and let everyone know why.  Henry Ford is rolling in his grave, knowing that his once beloved America's car company is now becoming one of the all imposing corporate giant, stepping on all their customers as they go.  Car clubs, please start raising your dues to come up with $10,000 you will need to keep your name.  If your club or magazine name has Ford in it, be prepared to change your name or pay up.  It is a very sad day, indeed.

It'll be interesting what happens now that William Clay Ford has stepped down as CEO.

I wonder if this policy will change.
