Hi, I'm new to this board and new to Mustangs. I just purchased a 91 LX 5.0
The car has Weld Racing rims and extra wide back tires. The backside of the tires are rubbing on the Quadralink shocks. Does anyone know where I can find a "backspacer" to get a little more clearance on the backside? I need about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Any other thoughts? Upgrades to the Quadralink etc?
Thanks.

On my 1968 mustang I have the 94-04 billet rims on and I had to put an 1.25 spacer so they would mot rub I'm guessing that is about the same problem you are having. At CJ PONY PARTS.com they have spacers part# WHSP1 and they are about 60$ a pair
So try that maybe it will help

You may want to check out our sister magazine message boards for 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords or Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. These two books cater to late model Mustangs, as we do not.
You can purchase simple 1/4-inch spacers that will slip over your wheel studs. Anything thicker than that and you'll probably need longer wheel studs, or bolt on adapters like ther person above mentioned (just not that thick)...
Most people with 5.0 Mustangs, big tires, and suspension upgrades simply take the Quad Shocks off anyway. I haven't had any on my '90 in 13 years (Steeda lower arms, SSV uppers, Eibach springs)...
