Hi! I am new to this forum but have been a subscriber for a long time. I own a 1965 Fastback that I am redoing. I look forward to being involved in the forums.

I have installed a 4.6 DOHC in my 65 fastback
project. Does anyone know of any headers that will work? I have been thinking of building them myself. Has anyone heard of Headers by ed? He is suppose to have a web site "headersbyed.com"? I have a phone number but the answering machine referrs to his web site. www.headersbyed.com takes me to a another site.

Thanks for your help!

I know the guys over at Car Craft used them for a custom header configuration for something similar on the GM side (like an LS1 into an early Nova or something). Anyway, they're not complete headers, but more of a kit that still requires fab, assembly, and welding, you just don't have to do any bending.

Most of modular swaps I've looked at had custom headers fabricated by the owner or a shop. I would check with Dave Stribling at DVS Restorations (www.dvsrestorations.com) since he has installed several mod motors into classic Mustangs and might have something pre-made or will let you know if any late model Ford applications will also fit...

Good luck with the build Gortch!

Thanks, I will give them a call.

I've been kinda interested in building a set but haven't been able to log on to Ed's site for more info.

New to this forum, interested in exchange of information, as to swap 4.6-5.4 into a 62 Thunderbird. I am interested in the outside measurements and has anyone done this. Is a 5.0 a better fit? I am not a car show buff, I just like the looks of the old bird convertible and would like to put in a fuel injection for more driveable use.

have you looked into ford performance I haven't tried them, but have heard they make a shorty that might work

The 2010 Mustang goes for a suggested retail price of $32,995.00, and comes with comparable warranty coverage to other vehicles in its class. You also might want to research the Mercury Sable and the Ford Shelby GT 500.
