Recently recieved a new Griffin alum rad. for my '69 302 coupe. The outlet at the bottom is on the wrong side (driver) for the stock motor. Obviously I could ship it back for the correct unit, but I may want to install a 5.0 at a later date. Is there a bottom hose that will allow me to use this radiator with the stock 302 until I decide to install the 5.0 ?

Check out Ron Morris's lower hose kit...
It is a couple of sections of hose with a stainless tube that allows for "wrong side" radiator swaps/5.0 EFI swaps...

Have anyone heard of Mishimoto? I'm planning to get their performance aluminum radiator.

another option is to change your waterpump. Unless I am remembering wrong. a 1970 waterpump has the outlet on the other side. then you could just use the correct hose. more work but It would work.

If you swap the pump, you'll have to swap the balancer and the timing pointer. Well, you don't HAVE to but it'll make setting the timing mucho easier. If yours is a 3 bolt balancer, you'd need a lower pulley also.

Hence the stainless tube and hose section idea from Ron Morris.
It works and you don't have to break into the engine FEAD to change pumps, timing covers, dampers, dipsticks, pulleys, etc.
