1.3 ohms according to the manual. Anyone know where this resistance wire is on the 84 full size?
When I move the key from start to run it dies. The starter relay is dual pole - so it also sends full 12 volt into a special little circuit to the fuel pump when the key is in start, bypassing this resistance wire.
Maybe this R-wire is toast?? When i disconnect the other little wire from the starter relay and put in 12 from the battery the car runs !!
I tested out the ignition switch and fuel pump relay and they seem to work.
Any BTDT?

I found it. It's one of the 5 wires that bolts up to the POS side of the starter relay. Actually the fuse-link burned up.
I'll have to buy a new fuse link, and figure out how to hook up both a resistance wire and regular wire to the fuse link. steve
