How can I find out which 351 cleveland engine that I have in my 1972 Ford Ranchero? cleveland 2v or cleveland 4v. I found; D7TE-A-2B casting/stamped on the passengerside lower portion of the block. does that tell anything? thank you

D7 tells me it's a 1977 engine, or at least the block is, which means it is NOT a 351C. "T" = Truck line, "E"=Engine Group. It's either a 351M or a 400. That block casting number is listed as a 400 block. Look at the front by the distributor - there will be a cast "fin" that is common to the 351M/400 engines. To tell for sure the displacement, use a thin stick down a plug hole and marking the top of the stroke and the bottom - about 3.5" of stroke means it's a 351M. 4" or thereabout is a 400.
