I'm wondering if a 351 stroker with an airgap will fit under a stock blinker hood? If not, would the better performance plan be a low-rise intake or a 302-based stroker instead? Plans are street terror w/ 2 track trips a year hoping for low 12s/high 11s. Thanks.

Our 70 came with a 351W stashed under the stock hood. It had a Performer intake and carb on it at that time. My measurements of a 302 Air Gap vs a Performer showed that the carb pad was at the same height. If the 351W air gap is the same config, it should fit. Edelbrock's site should have install dimensions.
FWIW - we run a 2V Funnelweb on a 351C in the Mustang now. The intake is 6 1/2" tall to the carb pad and the 3" air cleaner sticks up in the scoop about 1~1 1/2"
Then (right after purchase) with 351W:

You'll need in the 400~425 FWHP range to hit your target ET. No substitute for cubic inches LOL.
