My instrument panel gauges worked prior to me changing some parts. I changed out my solenoid, voltage regulator, starter, alternator, battery, ground cables and new cables to my starter. After replacing these parts I noticed that my gauges no longer worked. I suspected that perhaps my instrument voltage regulator behind the dash no longer worked, so I replaced it and the instrument gauges worked, after a day or two the instrument voltage regulator goes out. I know that it get and ignition of 12volts and reduces it to 5 volts and perhaps I am getting a spike in the alternator. has this happen to you. Any suggestions as to what to check???
