Check it out Knight Rider Made for TV - Mustang To steal from another board - we'll have to do an engine Bay Watch to see what's under the hood of that Shelby. Glad I saved my disco albums.

Shows how much I watch TV these days - except for Hasselhoff, I have no clue who those other people are. Have to remember to DVR it our in the garage.

Yeah, me too. I mean, I watch a decent amount of prime time while proof reading or writing from the laptop (more like background noise) but these actors either come from daytime TV or from shows I don't watch so I haven't heard any of their names either. I'm sure they want the hottest young stars (that aren't in rehab) to get a larger audience to watch it.

None of the actors know how to drive a manual transmission, so most of the cars are dressed up automatic GTs. I believe they have one actual KR for some shots, but I read somewhere they also had that special fit with an automatic transmission.
Disappointing, huh?

Disapointing? Maybe, but in the movie industry its pretty much SOP to use an auto for smoother drive away shots and for the actor to concentrate on their lines and not clutching.
The Mustangs used in Beverly Hills 90210 were all autos, as were the cars used in the Charlie's Angels remakes. And yes, Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) only had a week to build the first car, so they started with a GT, much cheaper too than using a 1 of 1,000 real KR!
