A couple of questions for someone who might help.
1. I have renewed my OEM cast heads with a pair of edelbrock RPM heads, I'm using a 1.6 ratio roller TIP rocker WHAT PUSHRODS should I be using ? Edelbrocks are 6.805" or crane 6.825" which are OEM length
2. I have a double roller chain and gear set from a BOSS 302 the issue I am having is the crank sprocket for this set is very tight to put on . I can make it work but with alot of effort , It seems to be really tight . Can I work the key on the crank with some emery cloth. HOW TIGHT IS TO TIGHT ?
Thanks for the help and advise given.

Probably the 6.085 but to make sure I would certainly check the valve train geometry make sure.

What Chuck said. Either call Edelbrock and get a recommendation or get an adjustable pushrod and check the geometry.
For the crank gear - yes, you can work it a little. Everything I run slips on with a very snug fit, sometimes requiring a slight tap with a gear setting tool (re - piece of iron pipe). Make sure you know what the hang up is first - if it's just the keyway, work it a little with a file. For the gear bore - Take a short piece of brake tube, cut a slot in it with a hack saw and make a "flapper" with the emory cloth for your drill. Buff the bore a little, then test. With the crank snout cold, the gear hand warm and the snout with a little antisieze, it should just slide on the crank and seat. If you have to take a brass mallet and tap the gear seated, that's OK too.

With hydraulic lifters you do have some preload/lash variance that can take up slight pushrod length issues, but you really should install the head and use an adjustable pushrod to verify the correct length your application needs. I don't know every last measurement on the Edelbrock heads, but they could be decked a couple of thousands for compression, which would usually mean a shorter pushrod.
Follow my logic for a second. If the Edelbrock pushrods listed are .020-inch shorter than the Crane "stock length" the Edelbrock heads are probably decked .020...
Verifing the correct length and the proper rocker arm to valve tip geometery would be best, but if you want to take an educated shot in the dark, I'd use the Edelbrocks with their heads.
As for the timing set. Small-block Ford crank gears are not an interference fit like a Chevy, they just slide on. If you are having a problem installing the gear it could be damaged or the wrong ID. Measure the crank OD and the gear ID. For the price it might be best to just purchase a modern double roller chain set...
