I was wondering what you guys thought about a heidt front suspension. Do you think that it would be a good choice out the Mustang 2 style front end. Do you think that it would be a good idea at all. I like the idea about cleaning up the engine bay, and be able to put my 429 in with ease. So what do you think?

The Heidt's and Rod & Custom MIIs are both very nice pieces. The Heidt's is a few dollars more, but that's only a concern if you are going strictly by price.
The local resto shop I deal with installs a LOT of MII setups. If you want a nice cruiser that rides nice and cleans up the engine compartment the MII is a great choice. Lots of options (coilovers, air ride, etc.).
If you want something that'll handle a LOT of horsepower check out Fatman Fabrications' PSM kit. It ties to the firewall like the OE structure. There's also strut based front ends that really open up the suspension and braking options, but require the top of the shock towers to be in place/solid.

That is some good info. So here is what I know that I am going to do. I am buying the Heidt Rear end package. The engine I am going to use is a 429. So now that you know that. What do you think would be best. I have worked on cars my whole but this is my first resto and i picked a hard one, i think anyway. Thanks for advice.
