Did a 67 fairlane use something along the inner top of the windshield to lock the headliner in place? If so, where do I find one? It looks like it may have had something there at one time. Thanks again!

There is an anchor bar up there - been a long time since I looked at one. You wil only find a replacement on anther Fairlane or 67-70 Falcon. I'd have to look in the body manual to refresh my memory, but the headliner doesn't go under the windshield on those because the windshield is glued in. It does wrap under the back glass seal.

I was afraid of that. My car doesn't have one now. Could you use snap on windlace? If I can't find one, that option may look ok. Any thoughts?

I'm sure you are done with your project but , the answer is yes you could use windlace if you do have the bolt on metal piece that your headliner wraps up on. If that is not there then you can not use the windlace . I have both pieces on a parts car I've been using. The plastic clip-on peice is similar to a windlace but thinner. I read a good tip for doing the headliner on my 67 GT Fairlane, and that is to use small chunks of old windlace for clamping/glueing rather than 50 small clamps for taking wrinkles out.

When I did my headliner, I used a couple of boxes of those black spring clips used for paper reports. I borrowed them from the office supply cabinet with the promise of replace or return. Used the medium size clips, worked really well. Didn't get glue on any, so all went back to office duty afterwards.
