Just curious, but has anyone heard about the new engine called the Boss.  Origionally started out as the Hurricane, Jeep already copyrighted the name, now I hear rumors of it being called the Boss.  Anyone have any info?

You can now buy the 302Boss as a crate engine for Ford SVT. I am considering that an option for my Fairlane.

I have heard of that, basically an improved boss 302 block from the design as the origional.  I am talking about a new line of engines that is to replace the triton engine line.

Yeah,

I heard about that new engine - it sounds good. I'd really like it if they actually get around to sticking a 5-liter V-8 in the Mustang again though, then you could have a real Boss 302. Saleen has built their own 302 cammer engine - that they put in the 2007 PJ and now most of their Mustangs - c'mon Ford, let's have a real Boss 302 again - it would be awesome.

yeah, they need to have diffrent engine options for the new mustangs, from the 4.6 up to the new 6.2 would be nice, but a 302 is a must!

I would not get your hopes up on any big engines in the Mustang or much of anything else.  Better enjoy what we have now because things are gonna change.

I don't think things will change that much - it's just the mainstream media looking for attention grabbing headlines. Many of their predictions don't bear fruit. They were saying the same thing 30 years ago and look what happened.  Cars will no doubt become more efficient, but at the end of the day - it's what the consumer wants, plus small, inexpensive cars are just not profitable, I wouldn't rule out things like the pony cars just yet.

The 2011 Mustang goes for a suggested retail price of $32,845.00, and comes with comparable warranty coverage to other vehicles in its class. You also might want to research the Mercury Sable and the Ford Shelby GT 500.
