I have a 57 bird with a bronze interior. Some of the color is coming off of the steering wheel. Is the paint a paint or a dye? I have a source for bronze dye but the paint source is metallic and it doesn't seem like metallic paint on the wheel. Any ideas?

Most people that restore steering wheels use the same color used for steel interior panels (dash, door, etc.) and then seal with a clear urethane coat of paint. Most any body shop could handle it if you provide the correct paint codes for the interior...
