Besides playing with cars, my other weakness is fast food, nearly every time I go to our local cruise night on a Saturday, I usually stop by the Burger King in that parking lot for a Whopper. There's something about healthy food that just doesn't satisfy. Does anybody have a favorite chain and meal - for me it depends, when visiting the West Coast I like In and Out Burger, only problem is, there aren't any where I live. Harvey's (a Canadian chain) does pretty mean burgers if you ever find yourself north of Detroit. A good burger and a happenin' Ford meet - can't think of a better place to be.

Fat Boy's Drive In; located just off of Route 1 in Brunswick, Maine (Cook's Corner exit).
This place has been around since the 1950's. They feature pretty carhops, no electronic ordering (Sonic) and excellent food. They also have sock hops and this is where all the old cars gather. Just turn on your headlights for service.
I like the lobster rolls. The onion rings are excellent as well. I never miss the frappe either!
I don't think anything has changed at this place since the 50's. It always reminds me of "American Grafitti". A cool piece of Americana.

Being from Louisville, Ky., there is only one fast food joint in town that is to speak of and that is Dizzy Whizz. Their specialty as you might guess is the Whizz burger. Truly awesome. It is actually a greasy spoon but it has curb service. One upon a time there were car hops that worked the place. Alas poor yurik, those days are gone. However, a waitress will come out to take your order. Not the same but close.

My daughter loves it when we cruise into Sonic in my 67 Fairlane. She loves ordering through the window of the car and the food being brought to the car. My wife loves it that we always get looks and comments.....ok, so do I. We also like cruising down to the river, behind the flood wall, and having a picnic.
