"Modified" Mustangs and Fords.  Is this a bit of a shift in editorial direction or just a name update to closer reflect whats shows up in the magazine?  I think it stands out, maybe it'll pull some subscribers in.

Yeah I noticed that after not checking in for a week or so.  I thought the link had changed and it was for a different magazine now (LOL).

Maybe it will allow them to cover more classic retro-modded Mustangs/Fords with out upsetting the purists?   I’ve talked to several of the writers before at events and they say that they hate being accused of “copying Mustang Monthly” all the time, but they have problems finding nice classic Fords for publication.  Perhaps  we’ll see some coverage on a ’67 Falcon with 351C sometime in the future under the new title (LOL).

Yeah and I wonder what's up with that. I wish they would stick with a format. I remember when they would do a feature on a total restore over a series of months. Wish they would do it again on non mustangs. Galaxies, fairlanes, etc. Seems that would bring in readers. That is the reason I subscribed back in 1992 and have kept all my back issues. I like 5.0s but I hope they don't find their way in to "Modified" Mustangs & Fords.

There's a reason I have a subscription to a bunch of magazines - except 5.0 and MM & FF. So we'll see.  I just re-upped for 3 years, so I'm sure it'll be a good thing.

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply, I've been a traveling fool. First half of last week I was in San Antonio and the later half back at Road Atlanta for a show.

Anyway, if you've read my blog you'll see what's going on. I had this sprung on me just like it's sprung on you, so don't think I was scheming to do this since I became editor back in June '05 or something.

The good news is we'll have more total pages and there will be more to read. If you're a Ford guy like me you like it all and you'll be interested in reading about the latest performance Fords and seeing some great modified classics and late models. I'm working hard (as usual) to bring a little something for everyone to the magazine, so expect to still see some great classic Ford examples while we also add some late-model Mustangs, Lightning trucks, Marauders, Fairmonts, etc. to the mix.

Give the new look and content a few months to gel, and as always, feel free to comment or ask a question here on the forum...

Thanks!
