I have a 1989 ford mustang gt 5 speed. it was just rebuilt. Its bored 30 over has gt40x heads trick flow manifold 70mm throttle body and egr 24lb injecotrs b303 cam 70mm mass air calibtated for 24lb injectors and cold air. bbk long tube headers flowmaster exhaust and no cats. the car won't stay running sometimes won't even start backfires and misses and runs lean badly. if i try and give it gas it won't rev like the tps isn't sensing the throttle moving. I think its a fuel issue I ordered a bbk 110lph pump. also anyone know what adjustable fuel pressure regulator will bolt up to my stock fuel rail. am i headed in the right direction. i also checked the timing took the timing cover off and everything lines up. please help!

Have you checked the ignition timing ? Dont forget to take out the spout plug or you will not get the right reading set base timing at 10-13.If it barley runs try turing distributor by hand till the idle smooths out then set base timing.Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator part# AM13103B from late model restoration will bolt up to your stock fuel rail.I suggest a fuel pressure gauge to set proper fuel pressure.Try about 32-35 psi to start out. Also check around and under the intake for vaccum leaks you can spray carb cleaner on the places you think mite be leaking. The engine should react to this when you spray that spot. All intake air must flow thur the mass air meter if there is a vaccum leak that is unmetered air and the engine will not run correctly.Give this a shot if all seems to be good no vac leaks and timing set just get back up with me and we will go from there
