I recently found out that my 302 has the C80E 68 4v heads and i was wondering if i should port match them. Is doing this worth it and can i do it myself? I heard removing that small bump in the exhaust ports helps a bit. Any ideas??

Massaging the bump out of the exhaust helps and port matching to the header where possible helps flow - but it really needs to follow all the way through the port from the valve seat if you try making the port much bigger. For a touch up, remove the bump and smooth the roof, try to make a smooth transition from the port into the header. Watch the gasket - trim it as necessary to keep it from hanging down in the top of the port.
For the intake, depends on the intake used. If it's a little bigger, then matching back about 1" is usually good. Taking out any lip that hangs in the air flow helps. Just don't get carried away - hogging out an old 68 head to match a Victor intake won't get you much more than a pile of chips. Just clean the port, don't polish but smooth out any moguls, smooth the short turn and clean up the valve pocket a bit.
