I wanted to build something a little different from the norm, something other than the well known muscle cars you see everywhere you go. I decided on the 63 Falcon Convertible. I didn't love the front end of the 63 so I decided to do what Foose does, "take the ugly out". I decided to take the aggressive look of the 64 Falcon front end and graft on to my 63. I wanted to improve the look but still stay true to the Falcon look. I'm also upgrading the engine to a 351C 2V with a FB Performance 4STB transmission. 9" inch rear with 4:11's. The rims are going to be Budnick Pentacle, 20x11's in the rear and 18x9 in the front. I plan on painting the car a deep orange with a tinted clear coat and gold base. I'm working with lots of great people and shops that are within driving distance of my house to make this car come together. I hope to have it ready by early spring next year.
Heres a before and Hopefully after.

I got the car soda blasted and set a ride height.

Then we got to work on trying to figure out how to make the front end look like the way I wanted.

After one side was done the other came together a little easier.

Then we went to work on the hood. I wanted the false intake cutout and raised, then I wanted it to taper out into a raised cowl, this gives my bird a beak. I also wanted an airdam and side skirts manufactured to work with the car.

Here's where the body is at.

Very interesting design concept melding the round nose and the '64 and up...
Keep us up to date with the project by posting your progress notes and photos...

Very cool! I also built a 63 convt. although I left the front original, but did cut out the boomerang. You could have saved a lot of work by installing a stroked 351W (427) fuel injected with an ATI supercharger (like I did) and no one will see the front, only the back! Just kidding. Pics look very familiar. Good luck! If I can help in anyway, email.
