I have a 2000 Mustang that has a problem with the Windshield Wipers turning on intermittently. The switch is in the off position when this happens. it does not do this all the time. Has anyone seen this problem ? Could this be a short in the switch or wiper motor ? Please let me know any info on this issue. thanks in advance for any help....

It's likely a short in the wiper motor circuit. I had a similar problem on my Fox Mustang a few years back with the intermittent feature going haywire. In my case it was moisture entering the wiring. I ended up re-wiring the switch to motor circuit and that fixed the problem. I'd first test the circuit as it might be a faulty relay - it's doubtful if there's anything wrong with actual wiper motor.
