Shaker 500 displays "phone" and nothing works

The Shaker 500 radio in my '06 Mustang Convertible displayed "phone" when I started the car one morning and nothing works when buttons are pushed. No music, but 6 CD player can eject and load, but nothing plays. I disconnected the battery for 20 minutes hoping it would reset, but it did not. Only displays "phone". Suggestions?

I know this may sound funny , but have u pressed the
button marked phone once again-as this ussually restores the radio funtion

rolltide did you or anyone else find out what was causing this problem? my 05 mustang started doing this the other day and i too tried pressing every button and nothing happend. i even disconnected the battery for 2 hours and still didn't reset anything.

Mine just started doing this today. I pressed every button, disconnected the battery, nothing worked. I left a message for my local Ford dealer service rep to call me back, but good luck getting a response on a Friday afternoon! Any ideas?
