My gear was black and it used a "BB" and snap ring to secure it to output shaft.

Hmm. I just called Summit and they said that they did not have anything... Any other suggestions perhaps?

Let me see if i can find my part number from summit. All the receipts are being kept for this build. It will be this weekend before I can check. I'll let you know when I find it.

Try CJPonyparts.com. They should have what you need. I was mistaken, in that the gear I got was not from Summit. The same day I ordered my speedo gear(from CJ's), I also ordered a distributor gear from Summit. Sorry for the brain fart. I got my Speedo gear from CJ's. I know they also make a conversion kit to swap to the t5 gear.....if you have no luck finding the replacement. It can be found at drivetrain.com.

Thank you fair67driver!!! I was able to call CJs and they had the gear. It is on its way as I post. Others who need a gear for a BorgWarner T10, call CJPonyParts.

A bit of bad news: the gear finally arrived as of saturday. (It took 5 days to get to Ohio from PA) When it finally arrived, the gear was so close to being right. The only problem is that the inside diameter of the gear is too large. I am investigating making some sort of spacer. Has anyone heard of this, and/or have a solution?

you should probably call them back... they sent you a gear for a super T10 which has a larger output shaft... that a regular T10
how many splines on the output shaft.. 28 or 32...
as far as i remember... without looking it up...

There are no splines where the gear is at. It is smooth with a small ball bearing to hold it on.

I wonder if they sent you a top loader gear instead. Is the outside diameter the same?

Brennan: I'm having the exact same problem as you are with finding this speedo drive gear. Same tranny, same screw up with CJ Pony parts (did they charge your card twice too?). Wondering if you ever got your drive gear, and if so where from?

Hm. I managed to cancel my account somehow. But I would still like to know how you fixed it. We're having to machine a new one for this guy, but there must be a simpler solution.
