I learnt to drive on a '76 Falcon (Australia) and I've owned two Ford panelvans.  Being a musician, they're great for hauling gear, spacious, comfortable, reliable and cheap and easy to maintain.  Great to read about the car collections you guys enjoy.

Of the 4 vehicles that I own, 50% are FOMOCO:

1970 Mercury Cougar
2006 Ford Mustang
2003 Dodge Ram QC 4x4
1994 Chevrolet Blazer (for the kids)

I think I bleed fire engine red. Or is that Porsche Guardsman Red?

I do love my Ford products!

I currently own 2 Fords. My driver is my mostly stock '98 GT Mustang that I bought shortly after the first one was wrecked, and the toy is my '69 Falcon. I bought it with a 200 I-6 but changed that as soon as i could. It currently has the same 289 that my dad had in a '68 mustang when he was in high school. I have a 1000+ HP Turbocharged 428CJ based engine in the works for it though. As for the other vehicles I have owned, the list goes: '82 Mustang 200 I-6 (sold to a friend), '90 Mustang LX 2.3 (gave to cousin for racecar project), 1974 Ford F250 (sold to buy Falcon), and '98 GT Mustang (totaled by a friend, my dad fixed it and i gave it to my mom).  As for the rest of my family, my dad drives a '05 F150. He also has a '69 Cougar and an '88 T-bird Turbo Coupe. Mom still drives the '94 V-6 Mustang until the '98 GT gets paint, my brother has a blown '97 Cobra, and my sister drives an '88 LX. On top of all that, my 80 year old grandpa just traded off his '07 Pony V-6 for an '09 GT Mustang. He has been in the business of making fiberglass Shelby restoration parts for longer than I have been alive. I started helping my dad build the Cougar before I started kindergarten. I bleed Ford Blue.

My first car was an '85 Mustang LX. But alas, 90 degree weather, high humidity, the lack of rain for a few weaks, and a water-main leak led to its destruction a month after I got my driver's license. I learned how to drive a stick-shift on my Dad's '88 F-150 (5.0, 5-speed).  My mother is driving an '05 Five Hundred. And I now have a '65 Galaxie 500 convertible with an early 70's 390 FT (previous owner) with probably 300K on the clock. And my daily driver is a 2000 Ranger XLT 4x4 super-cab which I bought new in '99. 3.0 FFV, 5-speed stick, and 4.10 gears, some people have a time wondering how I can keep up with them (I once beat a Dodge Viper off the line). Although, my Ranger does need some work - it needs a new fog light and front bumper valance and the skid-plate to be straightened out - I was doing 60, slowed it down to about 40, the truck is straight, but the deer died. Like the old joke, FORD stands for Found On Road Dead, yep, that dear was stamped with a blue oval - the one on the front of my truck.
