I recently re-built my 1970 302. The only thing i have i have left to do is set the valve lash. I've never set the lash on hydraulic lifters before so i need some help. Can anyone tell me how to do this??

If the heads use positive stop rockers, then you can't do anything but just tighten the rocker nuts and go. You can measure (using a dial indicator) the travel of the push rod, shooting for around .060 down in the lifter. If there is too much or too little, you have to change the pushrods as necessary.
If they are adjustable, then you can use this procedure here Hydro valve adjustment which works well for me.
However, IIRC 1970 stock heads use positive stop so there is no adjustment unless you've converted them to adjustables. Be sure and use new locking nuts, or double nut the old ones - or use a set of poly locks. Old nuts will back off.

On a standard 69 302, valve lash can be adjused by bringing the piston to top dead center and valves closed of that cylinder to be adjusted. Turn the adjusting nut to eliminate the push rod slack or lash. Then tighten with additional 3/4 turn and your done.
