I've inherited a frankenstein truck!
It was originally a 1981 C10 Chevrolet 1/2T pickup. At some stage in its life the V8 petrol engine was ripped out and replaced with a Nissan RD28 diesel engine and gear box.
I'm in the process of ripping it apart again and I have no idea whatsoever as to what differential is currently in there. I was told it was a Nissan at one stage, but the Nissan boys have told me it's not, the gut feeling by a few people on various forums is that it is a Ford. The only thing I can add is that I have asked some of the Chevrolet people on their forums if it is a Chevrolet one and they are sure that it is not. Some suggested that it may be a Ford 9" and that's really the reason why I'm posting here.
I've also calculated the ratio to be around 2.73 (+/-) which is pretty much what Chevrolets of that vintage were and I believe some Fords are too. I know the brake drums have been changed and the Axle shaft (half shaft) have been modified to take Japanese wheels but not sure about the axle. Where I live in Asia they would have had access to old Ford diffs and it's possible that this could be just that, very old (older than 1981). On the other hand it could be relatively recent, I really don't know as the last owner who ripped it apart is no longer contactable.
The markings are not absolutely clear but something like 32R and (3)8811V01, on the 1st digit it’s not clear if it’s a 3, 2 or an 8. Other marks are ND 875.
Here's some photos anyway:-

Any help would be much appreciated!

100% not Ford. Chrysler maybe? Not a Dana or a 8 3/4 as far as I can tell. Could very well be something that was never sold or used in the USA.

take some more images of it... show it to heavy duty truck mechanics over there..
the ND i would think means it came off a heavy duty/medium duty ND truck made by nissan...
it is probably off one of the tilt cab trucks.. looks like it was really spliced together....
it really looks like it needs to come apart after you clean its exterior... and use some silicone to make a new gasket... while it is apart... take pictures of the gear part numbers that are stamped into it...
you might even after you clean it... get some silicone to stick to the outside as a temp fix to keep some of the leakage down...
