Can anyone tell me the proper way to support my mustang because I need to replace the floor pans?

one of the major sheet metal suppliers for classic cars has made some that should the when where and how to do it...

as for supporting it...  how much of it are you changing...    full pans ... half pans... just the inserts...    firewall to tail lights...???   if it is a rag top... you probably want to  bolt or weld in some braces across the door openings...

as for the proper way to support it...    jack stands...    pinch weld clamps that  bolt on, that have a pipe through them from side to side ... with the cross pipes on jack stands...     there are so many ways to counter act gravity...
