I can see why I don't visit here much anymore. This site is spam central and the webmaster and owners (or maintainers) of this site don't seem to mind or are not very interested.
Chrome & polish is posted all over the place. Does anyone care?
Hint: Delete that user's account and remove all of those posts! Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Steve...
Thanks for the "hint" but we know what has to be done. Frankly we have to see it first to act on it. This guy started on 12/2 and guess where I was? I was in CA driving the new 2010 Mustang from 12/2 to 12/4 (three days) with no Internet access and didn't get back into the office until 12/5 (Friday). I am so behind in my work right now I never even opened my web browser on Friday (note the fewer blogs I posted from Thanksgiving until now too).
I finally took a look at the site this evening (Sunday 12/7) after coming home from my Mustang club's Christmas party and immediately deleted all threads and his account as well. Someone had already marked it "banned" but not deleted the threads.
Greg, our web producer, works on five other sites, and from what I could tell when looking at the account this guy had signed up for about 12 of our magazine's web sites and did the same thing, keeping the web guys busy.
I wouldn't call this site "spam central" as this is the first time (that I can remember) that we've had someone sign up and just start posting spam about their business.
As I've stated before I can't spend all day on this site creating content, etc. or the print magazine would never get done. Feel free to interact with the site; post questions, create a poll, make a top ten list, etc. That's how we get our site visitors to interact and grow with each other.
Thanks... Mark

Thanks Mark. I knew you could get it done. It may not be spam central, but one guy pretty much hogged all the posts to hawk his wares. Sounds like spam central to me.
I have tried to interact on this site. My post count should show that....but what can you do?
In September I bought a 2006 Mustang. I really, really like it. Between my '70 Cougar and the '06 Mustang I think I have the best of both worlds, especially where your magazine is concerned. I may never see another Cougar in it, but I know for damn sure I will see a newer Mustang in it!
How was the 2010 Mustang anyway?

Thanks for your understanding Steve...
Things are very busy right now with trade shows, budget cuts, etc. and of course the typical end of year stuff...
Don't worry, you'll see Cougars again. I know it's been too long and I apologize for that. I've got two on file now with another being shot soon on the west coast. I'll have one in there shortly...
The 2010 is a great car. Lots of updates, especially the interior (my favorite part) and the revised suspension with AdvanceTrac really makes anyone (like me) look like a hero going around the track. I can't say too much due to embargo agreements, but you'll see the full story in print and here on the site soon...
Thanks for spending time with us here. I was told we're going to a more traditional forum software sometime next year too, along with other changes, so hang in there!
Take care... Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the replies. It would be good to see more articles on Cougars, specifically a 1970 Cougar like mine. I think I have some pictures posted on this site somewhere.
Like I said previously, I love my '06 Mustang. The things you can buy for these cars to modify and restyle them is amazing and almost endless.....but I am exploring as many of them as I can. I would love to see some articles on increasing performance out of the 4.0 liter (6 cylinder engine); which my 'Stang is. Any hope in that?
Okay. I have a letter from you marked "URGENT RENEWAL NOTICE!". Guess I should open that and renew my subscription.
Thanks again!

Boy you are a needy person aren't you! LOL...
I was at the Performance Racing Industry trade show 12/10-12/13 and the 13, 15, and 16th are our three release days to the printer for the March issue. I got everything out the door this morning, hence a few minutes to check the forum before I get started on the April issue...
Our web producer Greg Clark just picked up a new '08 GT leftover and we'll be doing some small interior upgrade stuff (base interior car), maybe some suspension, and exhaust work. Everything on the V-8 will translate to the V-6 except major engine work.
We do have access to a '06 V-6 locally (coworker's husband) and we just but a Bassani V-6 dual exhaust conversion kit on it. It worked out great and sounds good. We've got video of the install and exhaust note for the site too when we do the story (soon!)...
You should know me by now, I try to change things up and put a little something for everyone in the book each month. Just wait, you'll find an issue with V-6 tech AND a Cougar in it and you'll be in heaven!! LOL
We'll back to producing YOUR magazine. Later... Mark

I'm going to put a S&W Roll Bar kit in the 70 this winter - in between wrecking out the kitchen and replacing the head gaskets in the Falcon. I'll post on that when I get to it. But right now it's all about sawdust, busted sheet rock, 2x4s and a nifty new framing nailer - ah, Home Improvement.

Hi Mark,
You got me. I AM needy. I am no different than anyone else. I want what I want, and I do like to get replies to what I write.....from you or others. I think you mentioned interaction and I am trying my best, but sometimes you post topics or issues and immediately it becomes like a ghost town, with the lights out and the wind whistling down a barren road.
The magazine generally has a little something for everyone.....and if I can put a bug in your ear about topics I am interested in, maybe I will have a better chance of it actually happening! You already know that I have a '70 Cougar and an '06 Mustang, so you may have that in the back of your mind when researching articles for future magazines and I REALLY DO APPRECIATE THAT! Seriously. If you think I am needy, you should contact my US Senators (Susan Collins & Olympia Snowe); they should know me because I write to them all of the time.
I just sent in my subscription renewal form, based partly on the magazine and partly because of you, Mark. I think it is cool that you do write back to us as work allows and I think it means alot to us and says alot about you. Thank you!
I am definitely interested in the articles on the '08 GT and the '06 V-6. I will look forward to reading them.
Thanks again!
Steve

Hey Steve, thanks for the support/renewal. I get on here when I can, not to "pump up" the site, or becuase it's my job, but because I want to interact with others on this forum, just like I do on the Sport Trac forum, Factory Five forum, etc. Things are going slowly here, that's for sure, but I'm working on it. I think a part of it is the clunky interface (that I've griped about until I've turned "Ford" blue...
I think FINALLY the "remember me" is actually working. I only put in a request to fix that eight months ago!
Well, I'm going to get out of here a little early for a change (been 7:30 or so before leaving the last few weeks) and enjoy my recliner and a cold one!
Stick around, together we'll ALL make this site better!
