Evening Steve! Merry Christmas to you too! Thanks for thinking of us...

I hope your family (and everyone reading/posting here) had a great being together. Presents aside, that's the most important thing--family...

So, spill the beans! What did everyone get?

The wife got me a new Craftsman 12-volt lithium-ion drill to replace my 18-volt that won't take a charge anymore. Looking forward to using it!

I also got one of those master drill bit kits as well. Chock full of different bits, speed loaders, screw guides, etc. The Craftsman Speed-Lok system. Very nice!

Got the movie Get Smart (hilarious if you haven't seen it yet), along with some Ford oval sleeping pants (already had them with the Mustang logo), and some McGraw cologne (from Tim McGraw, my wife is a country music nut)...

It's amazing, even with the kids at 15 and 13 I spent a couple of hours assembling stuff! I've got to start buying them items ready to go out of the box!

Since corporate wants us doing more blogs I think I'll do one on what I got for Christmas now! LOL

Anyway, time for a little pumpkin pie and then movie time! To you and yours... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

What did I get?

Stephen King's "Just After Sunset"
a true crime Mafia book (i love these) "Murder Machine"
Presidential Portfolio's book "Ronald Reagan"

A gift certificate, a $50 bill, coffee, & Toby Keith's "35 Greatest Hits" on CD.

and......the MUSTANG Car-A-Day Calender 2009 by Jerry Heasley! Sweet!

Tomorrow, my youngest son and I are going to SEARS to buy a Craftsman air compressor (hopefully there are some good sales there), which is my Christmas present from my 3 youngest children (17, 16 & 14). I think that is pretty awesome.

All in all it was a GREAT day. I made the Christmas dinner. Had my Mom over as well as my oldest son and his wife, my oldest daughter and her husband, my 2 grand babies and my 3 kids still at home. No, I am not married and all my kids were raised by me (at least for the last 11 years).

I have to take my Mustang out of it's present storage location and move it to it's new home on base at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. I didn't really want to drive it in the snow, but it was in the upper 40's today so the roads have had time to have the snow melt and dry out good.

Sorry for the drawn out nordic saga.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I got two weeks paid time off - used it to work on the house.  There's a roll bar to install in the Mustang and the Falcon got new head gaskets, but they are still in the box.  I got a few new tools out of the deal - new Lithium batteries for my C3 Craftsman tools was a big thing, really helped.  We did finally buy ourselves a nice 37" Visio LCD HDTV last Friday.  That was right before the water heater died Saturday and the sewer backed up this morning (Monday).  The water heater and 10 minutes of sewer rooting in the freezing rain together cost almost as much as the TV.  Good thing my labor on the water heater was free LOL.

Wow, "nice" Christmas you had there Falcon! LOL

I was wondering where you were. Wow, I wish I could take two weeks off! Even if it was for working on the house...

They don't roll vacation time over here, so if you don't use it you lose it. With work and travel, I barely get to take a Friday here or there so it racks up fast! Trust me, the wife's not happy about it either!

A flat screen tv is on our shopping list after tax time. We have Verizon FIOS and we're happy with the service, but really want a tv that can compliment the picture quality we're paying for...

Well, time to blog and then I've got to get at this April issue!
