The big questions you will have for this is EFI (fuel injection) and transmission.

I'm assuming if you're wanting to go to a 302 that you have a 300/L6 in it now (I mean why go from a 351W to a 302?)  I looked up the 92 F150 on a Autozone & Advance Auto websites and apparently all 92's were EFI.  So, the first question becomes what type of intake manifold is on your 302HO?  Is it carb'ed or EFI/TBI?  If it is a carbureted manifold then I would suggest taking a EFI manifold and motor wiring harness off of a junkyard engine.  Its cheaper to do that than buying one aftermarket, but it is more of a headache.  The second question, that is beyond my ability to answer, is plumbing, wiring & programming the fuel system and computer from an L6 to a V8.

For the tranny, I don't know what type transmission you have, and don't know if the L6 has the same bell-housing pattern as a 302/351 V8.  If your transmission has a detachable bell-housing (like the T5 for instance), then all you have to do is get the correct one for that engine/tranny combo.  If your transmission has an integral bell-housing then you have to get a transmission that will mate to the 302.
