I'm getting a '65 Galaxie and would like to put Keystone Klassics and some white letter radial tires on it. How wide can I go without hitting the rear fender wells? I guess I need the wheel width (6, 7 or 8 inch) and tire width (225, 265). I like the 60 profile, so that's the only thing I have figured out.....

Wow, thank you. I'm thinking of sticking with 15", but with all this additional info......
Thanks again. Looks like I have some work to do.

Sweet. What kind of rims and what kind of tires? You'll have to post some pics of your car.

Keystone Klassic 7" rims. 215/65's for the front and 235/60's for the back. The car is candy apple red with black interior. Needs a little TLC but the car is from Texas, straight and has 60,000 miles. I'll be getting it as soon as I can fly cross country and drive it back.
