if this isnt the right place please redirect me or move the post thanks

i have a 69 coupe id like to get out of my yard (so i can get something else)
it is a rolling chassis and it is a major project perfect dragcar/restomod canidate
it can be restored  its really not that bad for an ohio car

someone once started to do a resto on it lets say they tried real hard and most of thier welds left something to be desired and then it got parted out i got it for parts for my gf's car

it was an original 302 auto, powersteering drum brake (manual) meadowlark yellow black interrior black vynil top it has a 2:79 8 inch axle

its about 85% complete (rolling chassis)

major missing items are
hood (the one in the pics is rusted junk)
grille
gas tank the one in it has a hole in it
windshield
driver side door glass
rear bumper brakets
correct bucket seats/ tracks (i have a pair of i think mid 80's mustang seats in it and they go with it)

it does have a clear ohio title the original drivers door is long gone along with the door tag

as i said this is a project i currently have it listed in other places (not ebay yet)
im asking $700.00 OBO or trade for
69 mustang parts  or
a ford big block and auto trans id prefer a 390, 429, 428, 406, 427
and i might consider a 460 (least desired) for my 57 ford sedan im building
and also parts  for 57 ford
would also consider a partial trade on a 9inch 3rd member (complete)
would also consider a bb ford powered parts/project car or what do you have to trade? it doesnt matter to me what body im just looking for a ford big block

im very willing to deal the car is located in hamilton ohio and it has to picked up my truck is down at the moment
if you want to trade a car for it yours has to be drivable or you need to deliver it

pm me here or email me at stangrunner@fuse.net

here is a link to some pics of it (old pics)(the car is more assembled now just so the city wouldnt hassle me) some of the parts in the pics dont go with it they have been replaced with other parts though let me know if you would like to see better pics of it

With the condition of the car in mind, I think if someone offers you a good 3rd member you should take it.  It's maybe $500 worth of car, maybe.  Based on the current worth of FE engines, if you did get an offer of a 390 best grab it before the swapper sobers up.    A rebuildable 428 is worth about 10 times what the car is worth, a 427 about 40 times.  A good 460 core runs about $500 or so.

i dont know how to respond to this but i tell you it isnt favorable
when was the last time you priced a 69 mustang in any shape

are you from out west someplace? if you are then i might understand  because i know our (ohio) rebuilders all look like junk to the people who live out there

Well, not to be a 3rd wheel or a 3rd member(!) but before feelings are hurt and yada, yada, yada, I would like to point out that a picture is worth a 1000 words. I have always found when posting an item for sale that a picture goes a long ways to satisfying the curiosity of a potential buyer.

Post some pics 57fordsedan!

Good luck,

Hey 57,

I edited your post so the link is live now. As far as where this post should go, we don't have a classified section right now. We'll leave it here.

Good luck with your sale!

Sorry - no sarcasm intended.  For a relative value, a good 428 block at the swap meet this last weekend was $2750.  $700 is a reasonable request for the car, considering the condition in the pictures.
