I have a 92 gt and a 65 I would like to take front K member with power rack from the  92 and put it in the 65. Has any one done this yet. Just trying to save a few dollars even if I have to weld a few extra hours to do this

The only person I can think of that has accomplished this is Dave Stribling at DVS Restoration with their Project Mustang in Black (MIB). They used a '99 Mustang front cradle, but they also used part of the strut tower structure too if not mistaken. You can reach out to Dave and get his first hand opinion on whether it is worth doing or not.

Frankly, there are numerous bolt in options for rack and pinion out there, including the AJE (Anthony Jones Engineering) bolt in cradle that accepts late-model Mustang struts/brakes and has rack and pinion...

If you decide to use the '92's K-member I hope you're a good welder/fabricator! LOL

HTH...

Thank you for your help. I know I will need the strut towers. The fab work is the fun part
