I just purchased a 1969 mustang coupe. I am currently selecting a color scheme. the oringinal color is a green with light metalic I believe. I'm thinking of painting it the same green except adding black "GT" stripes in the lower part of the car, and Lemans stripes fom front to rear......will the rally stripes and the "GT" stripes affect the price on te car since it is a coupe? Should I just paint it the original color? If I do decide to paint the extras will it look awkward? Any thoughts? Pleas help!!

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I'm all for the "it's your car, do what you want and what makes you happy"...
The light green is making a comeback (look at Ford using Legend Lime on the '05 and up Mustang)and I think it is a great color for black stripes.
The Shelbys (and countless other Mustang models over the years) have used rocker stripes and over body stripes together, I think it'll look fine.
Remember, it's only paint. It can be sanded off and done over. It's not like you're grafting on the nose of a Camaro or anything! LOL

Hi I have a 69 grande (coupe)I am doing up which will be any thing but std I live in Ozz & ford performance vehicles has a nice metalic grey called EGO that I am seriously thinking about using plus the interiour isnt going to be std I also have a 351 clevo with alloy OZZY Air Flo Dynamic heads @ high rise manifold.Iagree with mark its all only spray on or bolt on that can all come off if you dont like it.I believe that production cars are made for the masses so that every one can personalise them to suit their own personal tast
