For all of you who don't know or haven't heard the latest news in ford, the Crown Victoria, the car that has been our biggest pain when we see the red and blue lights shining from our rear view mirrow, is being discontinued and soon. Now police officers are not happy with these news and are even more upset over the choice Ford wants to replace the Crown Vic with, the Ford Taurus. So while hearing upon this I just happened to find this interesting article on an idea for a replacement car for the police force.
Well, I have a proposal that may please both police traditionalists, as well as the bean-counters at Ford. It may seem radical, but I think it's a relatively sound business proposition. Build the new Police Interceptor on a modified F-150 chassis.
Think about it...this recipe covers all the bases for the traditionalists: V8 power, rear-wheel-drive, body-on-frame, and tough-as-nails construction.

Seems like an interesting idea to me. In fact I like it. What about you though. What do you think about this idea? Do you have another vehicle in mind or different idea for a replacement of the Crown Vic?
