Now in case you guys haven't heard, in 2011 the Mustang line will get some major changes under the hood. The 2011 Mustang GT is suppose to receive the "Coyote" engine which will produce 400hp give or take. Now the Shelby GT500 got involved in this process and in 2012, there is speculation anyway, it might receive a twin-turbo Coyote engine dubbed the "Road Runner" engine. No actual specifics has been released but it is mentioned that it will receive well over 500hp.

Sources now say that Ford is also working on a twin-turbo charged version of the 5.0L V8 Coyote – code-named “Road Runner.” The engine is expected to find its way under the hood of the Shelby GT500 in 2012 and possibly under the Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson edition. It will deliver well over 500-hp.
