OK.... i drive a 92 Mustang and when i start it in the morning it starts no problem... drive a few miles and gets warmed up i turn it off and it will not turn back on. i have replaced the pickup, moduale, starter, and spark plugs. I am still haveing the same  problem. It will sound like it wants to start but it wont. When it cools down for about 5 hours it will start back up fine. Does anyone have any suggestions???!!

Have you checked fuel pressure when it cranks but will not start?

Please check fuel filter first. I know that this filter is supposed to be good for the life of the car, but some of the additives and cleaners you put in the gas tank will plug up the filter. PLEASE< PLEASE< buy a good filter, like the one that says ford on it.....

We're trying to here...

Have you done any of the suggestions given? My bet is the fuel pump or fuel pump relay is failing when hot. You need fuel, air, and spark to fire an engine. Air is a given unless your air filter is plugged solid. So, when the car will not start have you checked for spark (pull a plug wire and hold near solid metal and crank the engine to see if you get spark) or fuel pressure (listen for efi pump through fuel filler or temporarily install a fuel pressure gauge)?

Until you diagnose the car and report back we can't go further...

HTH...

I have a'92 302 5.0L EFI-HO in my Factory Five AC Cobra.  It has started to do the same thing.  Starts up great initially, go for a good run.  Runs great for that time period.  Shut down. Does not re-start.  turns over great, but doesn't catch.  Seems to be flooding itself.  Some sensor may be on the blink? Took it to my mechanic and we can't get any communication with the computer onboard.  When it was built, the guy didn't hook up the computer completely and we can't get any codes etc.  Can't find the problem.  HELP!!  I am thinking of replacing the EFI system with a good old Carb...but that would eliminate the Vortec Charger I have on it.

Any suggestions?
