I have a new A351E crate motor with EFI and Vortec Supercharger system. At initial start up, my rpm fluctuate for few minutes until it becomes steady at 1000rpm. Sometimes, it drops to 500rpm and comes right back to 1000rpm or even stalls. When I tap the accelerator, rpm would stay up for few seconds until it drops back to 1000rpm. Anyone knows what is causing this unusual idling? Thank You

1. Double check all vacuum lines. 2 Was the upper intake from the old motor installed on the crate? Does it have the old or new style Idle air motor? If is the old style, it can be cleaned. The new style usually has to be replaced. Borrow one from a good friend and try it out. 3.The cold start temp sensor may be bad even if it is new, check it out with ohm meter.
