Hi
need helping decoding this tag it is supposedly from a 67 mustang rear end. It was bolted to one of the third member bolts. It's not like any of the typical tags when I searched the net. Thanks

that looks like an engine tag not  a rear end tag...



the date code looks like november 1969 for a 70 model 302... with a 2 barrel carb..





rear end tags might look like this...

thanks, your right, looks like engine tag.  I didn't think it looked like a typical  dif. tag  Drove me nuts looking through page after page on the net. Thanks again

i have an almost identical tag on my 70 ranchero... built in late 69..  i thought it looked familiar...


do you have a tag on the edge of the drivers door..

those can be decoded also...

This is for a guy who bought a rear end for his 68 coupe. When I told him it was an engine tag, he sent me casting number off the rear end C70W which would makes it a Torino/Fairlane 8 inch.  Same width but spring perches are about 1 1/4 inches wider than mustang
