Hey all,

Pretty excited about this car. Something slightly different and its in good shape. Needs a floorpan, trunk lip, and under the rear window.

Here's a question for the Merc knowledgable ones. What is this bottle for?

On my 67 Fairlane, that bottle is in the same location as my washer fluid bag. Although this does not appear to be the case here, I wonder if someone stuck it there because it fit some time ago. Sorry, I'm not very Merc smart.....

The washer reservoir is to the right of the bottle. The top of the bottle is sealed, in that it doesn't have an opening.

More exploring to do.

Thanks!

Greg, I forgot all about this...

Mustang Project Washer Label

965198D1 18E8 4943 9Cda 334Cdd1e0e2cd1f0 1

It was used as a de-icer and could be pulled out of the bracket and poured into the fuel tank, washer bottle, etc.

HTH...

I own a 66 Comet 202 and bought it 1993 with 22.000 miles 289 3 speed . My car had the same glass bottle as yours and it is an original item that held windshied washer additive .
