I have a 2008 Mustang with the Shaker 500 in it. Recently I was changing out disc #6, after it ejected that disc and started to move to disc #1, I hit load and selected slot 6. It appears now that the changer is stuck the unit came up with a CD Error. None of the CD's in the changer are burnt, but all manufactured. If I remove the unit, does anyone know how to get the CD's out of the unit? The unit also keeps trying to change discs, even when the car is shut off. I removed the battery cable for several hours hoping that might do something, but it didn't help. This has been the car from hell since I bought it and will hopefully be selling it soon. I just want my CD's back. lol Any help would be great. Thanks

Ford isn't the only one with multi-disc in-dash changer issues. It's a lot of moving parts and high-heat environment. All I've read is people pulling the radio and taking it apart to get to the CDs.

Many aftermarket radios have a reset button but the OE radios you usually have to enter some sort of diagnostic mode (which does a speaker output test among other things). Google for some details on that, you might find the proper button press combo to get it to self-test and/or reset.
