I have read in the past that the stock GT-40 intake manifold on the 94-95 Cobra was good up to 350hp. Is there any truth to that? Can it be Extrude honed to flow better, or am I better off with an aftermarket manifold. I would like to use AFR 185 heads on the 331 I'm building, however, Trick Flow and Edelbrock have complete top end kits which might be better than mixing and matching. I'm shooting for between 360 and 400hp. I'm trying to put together a top end for my 94 and would appreciate any input.
Also, I have to replace my fuel pump, would the additional volume of a fuel pump to support the new engine reduce the reliability of my current stock engine or hurt my stock injectors? I will be intalling an adjustable fuel pressure regulator shortly.
What size injectors would be optimal for the 331 to achieve my ballpark 360-400hp?
