in the trunk of my 95 cobra, on the driver's side behind the trunk panels is a black plastic bracket attached to the car structure. it looks like about a 5" by 6" holder with a two prong electrical plug in. however, there is nothing there, it is missing. does anybody know what it is? the stereo is not working so I am thinking maybe an amplifier?

i am going to share a not so secret..

go over to motorcraft dot com..

you can select your year.. make . model.. sometimes engine..

i see in one image.. a plastic cover on the left side of the trunk

i can see an 13C718 Illuminated entry module that seems to be hooked to a smaller connector out the top of the harness.

i can see next to that a 15K602 keyless remote entry module. or
15K602  Radio Remote Control Receiver

the 15K602 has on the side a, 15603 Vehicle Remote Start Antenna

and yes.. you might be able to plug those modules right in..  but you may need to handle the computer programming.. by digging deep into the factory service manual.

i am not sure if you will just need to reflash the PCM after installing the additional components.. or if you will need a GEM module. if they use them in that year..
