Need help
Have a 69 mach 1, 351w with a 67 top loader. Will a 69 speedo cable fit this and work or do I need a 67 speedo cable to get proper reading? Speedoo now bounces around and can't get any idea of my speed. 4 speed top loader is rug tag on it but shows for a 67 mustang 289. I am not sure if a 69 cable will fit in the transmission.

Thanks for the help

Should plug right in.  If it is bouncing, it has issues and you might need a new cable, or you might need a speedo head.  If you could find another from somebody who has a spare kickin' around you could swap out one then the other.  David Kee toploaders has a chart that lists the different speedo gears required for each trans, rear gear, and tire size.  This is a pain in the neck procedure on a mustang, but unfortunately the only way to change calibrations.
