Speedo Cable Routing Diagram - 1965 4sp Manual

All,
I have been searching high and low for a speedometer routing diagram for a 4 speed manual 1965 mustang. I had the issue that the previous cable was routed out through the firewall, instead of out the transmission cover in the floor. Because it was routed like this, the cable rested on the driver's side exhaust and melted.

From my thread over at Vintage Mustang Forum, I know that the cable is supposed to go out a hole in the floorboard area (trans cover) and over the bell housing of the transmission and is supposed to be retained by two different clips. One that attaches just under the floorboards of the passenger foot rests and one to the transmission cross member itself before finally plugging into the passenger side of the transmission.

I'm having a real hard time trying to figure out exactly where the retainer clips go. I had thought that this car was originally a 4 speed, but it seems that it was changed at some point in it's previous life. Hence why I'm taking the time to research the proper cable routing for the 4 speed; the previous owners/restoration people didn't care to.

Here is a link (if you want) to the VMF thread that I have which has pics and the information I have been able to gather thus far. Just trying to get the last few questions answered, that is all. Thank you!

Bumping up this thread in hopes that it catches the eye of someone on the forums that knows.

I have a good photo of both the speedo cable hole and the clip hole in the passenger side footwell of my 1966 "carryover" GT350, if still interested. But I could not easily find the forum instructions for photo posting.
