road draft tubes ...   they were replaced with PCV valves and proper crankcase breathers..

can you share the year make model and engine you are working on.. so one of us might get you exact info....

if you are asking what sort of filter material is used...  you can use a stainless steel chore boy..

you might also want to look at various breather filter replacement elements.. so you can stuff it...

you could also use brass choreboy material..

i see the issue... this is something i found.. but it requires a breather oil filler cap... or you can create massive amounts of crankcase vacuum and pressure that will blow the GASKETS out of the motor ..

the 1975 Ford Car Parts book has the following part numbers listed:
- C7OZ-6A666-A (Motorcraft EV-42) - PCV valve in line with the hose and fitting.
- C2OZ-6A631-A (Motorcraft FA-58) - Element/crankcase ventilation oil separator.
- C2OZ-6A633-A - Retainer, crankcase ventilation oil separator element.
The fitting is called 'Adapter assy, Crankcase Ventilation, p/n C3DZ-6A665-B.

i have some ideas.. about creating something else .. using a special made adaptor and a 5.0 EFI pcv valve and grommet that slips into the back of the lower intake manifold..  you would still need a place to connect it..

my thought is to create an adaptor housing..  to bolt to the 3 bolt flange with a tube to accept the around 1990 5.0 EFI crankcase flame arrester, pcv grommet and pcv valve.... so you can get a pcv thats in the proper area of flow calibration for a small block ford...

this is how they do it on the EFI 5.0 motors..

shift the picture to the left to see the PCV valve plugged into the grommet...

don't forget.. that when you remove the road draft tube.. if your car is really original...  that you clean and store it ... or if your car is not original...  and you have no plans on restoring it..  ebay it..
