like the subject says. any way I can fit 17x9 a 1965 mustang. maybe with wheel adapters? have a set of fr500. I have not tried them on yet. might give it a shot tomorrow.

Nope, too wide for the front. You'll be up against the upper ball joint with them. If they were 18's they might clear OVER the ball joint, but the 17s will hit. Usually the max is 17x8 with a late-model brake disc conversion to space the wheel properly.
